The question is not just a question. It is the beginning of progress.
The staff survey is not just a measurement tool. It is a stimulus. A mirror. A trigger for people to stop for a moment and think about their own work - and talk about it together.
The function of a good question is to stop, to shake and to provoke insight: "Is this really how we do things?"
A question can change the direction of thinking
A well-formulated question can open up a discussion that would otherwise not take place. For example:
"I feel that in our work community we are allowed to be human and unfinished."
→ What does it mean to be human in our company? What about unfinished?"My team appreciates ideas for improvement."
→ How do we respond to ideas? Do they come? Are they taken seriously?"I receive regular feedback that helps me to improve my work."
→ When was the last time I received feedback that really helped me?
These are not just indicators, but openings for discussion. They stop people to reflect on their own experiences - and, at their best, get teams to ask each other, "How are we really doing?"
Development starts with the question
After each survey, we provide coaching questions and development tools for teams and chaperones to guide the discussion:
What does the result tell you?
How can we improve this together?
What is already working well for us?
The aim is not just to "react to the results", but to learn from them. To make measurement part of everyday innovation.Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
The survey is a mirror of the whole organisation
When the whole organisation answers the same questions, it creates a common language and a shared understanding of what is important.
When answering the questions itself is a stopping point, when the results are discussed together and when development is part of ongoing everyday life - then the survey is no longer a "project". It is a way to develop.
And that is why we believe that the question is not just a question. It is the beginning of progress.
